Regional Manager

Ultra Logistics is seeking a qualified and ambitious individual to become part of a growing team based out of our Northern NJ headquarters. We offer rewarding opportunities for self-motivated professionals who are looking for career growth providing a daily sense of accomplishment.

Summary

• Reports to Director of Operations
• Responsible for day to day management of 1 of 3 regions in the company. Each region has 4- to 8 National Account Managers
• Directs regional staff to ensure maximum profitability
• Negotiate rates
• Plans and monitors moment to moment staffing needs, adjusting accordingly to support operational demands and business objectives
• Work closely with customer service manager
• Monitor carrier qualification

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant area with equivalent combination of education and work experience in related area
• 5+ years experience in the Transportation industry
• 3-5 years Supervisory or Managerial experience
• Ability to identify issues, requirements, and opportunities involved in Customer Service
• Experience in managing external service providers (truckload, intermodal, line haul)
• Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills at a management level, including performance feedback, employee development, coaching and counseling skills
