Pricing Manager

A third party transportation logistics company has a great opportunity for a Pricing Manager to join our team. We are looking for a team player who has strong analytical and mathematical skills. This person will be interfacing with Operations, Sales and IT on a daily basis in order to increase the company's profit and respond to customer pricing inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all aspects of responding to bids and RFQs, RFPs & RFI's
• Head an initiative to build a master pricing database for company
• Manage/Organize shipper contracts and contract rates
• Make spot pricing recommendations to Brokerage/Operations team
• Prepare ad-hoc analysis for special projects
• Assist in preparing analytical reports and queries for senior management
• Utilize financial tools required to better assess customer profitability and decision-making
• Utilize and maintain reporting/data integrity for both internal and external reporting needs
• Assists with rate negotiations for non-preferred carriers

Requirements:

• At least 5 years experience pricing/rating in a truckload or brokerage operation
• At least 10 years cumulative experience in transportation/brokerage
• Prior experience building & maintaining a 48 by 48 state rate matrix
• Knowledge of seasonal transportation trends
• Expert Microsoft Excel skills a must
• Prior experience using and understanding Microsoft Access
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• College degree required
